Using the intuitive OMC-FLASH ISPF interface, you'll personalize your job and output displays to better control JES job processing, and rapidly locate and process critical JES spooled output so you can work smarter and get more done.

OMC-FLASH utilizes a high performance JES2 and JES3 data collection strategy to retrieve and display requested JES spooled output up to 85% faster and more efficiently than other solutions, without copying, respooling, or additional DASD. In addition, OMC-FLASH is specifically designed to optimize interaction with JES2 and JES3, delivering the requested data with minimal CPU and system I/O to provide the most efficient, effective JES spool management solution available.

Flexible, Personalized Job and Output Control

OMC-FLASH provides comprehensive control of job and output selection in a real ISPF environment using a standard ISPF interface, and using standard ISPF EDIT macros to process output being reviewed. Users can easily browse up to the second job status and information, and instantaneously retrieve spooled output before, during and after job execution.

The OMC-FLASH Selection Criteria Panel enables users to customize their job selection preferences by specific job name, job mask, job owner, or user-id, and save the preferred selection profile for future sessions.

Users can also specify exact job and output viewing criteria, to present the requested job information and output in their preferred format, with options to further process the output including requeue, delete, and copy facilities.

OMC-FLASH Jobname Selection and Data Set display panels can be fully personalized through the CONFIG facility, enabling users to customize the exact fields, titles, columns, and information presented, and the format of that presentation, to best meet the individual user's needs. Multiple CONFIG profiles can be created and saved by each user, then recalled and applied on demand when needed.

The powerful OMC-FLASH JES spooled output management facilities enable users to view and control all types of output with great flexibility. The OMC-FLASH Dataset Index Panel provides complete, at-a-glance job, dataset, and output status forfast and efficient job handling.

Using OMC-FLASH comprehensive Job and Output control capabilities, you can:

• Control Jobs Across All Queues, with complete capabilities to manage JES2 and JES3 jobs across the input, execution, and output queues.
• Customize Job Selection from JES by destination, owner, system, writer and/or job class, or any installation defined field criteria.
• View and Process all Types of Jobs, Tasks, and Spooled Output, including batch jobs, started tasks, TSO users, APPC jobs, active tasks, held and non-held output.

• Define and Save Up to 10 Copy Profiles, with unique COPYprocessing parameters for different types of output, and recall those profiles on demand to expedite output processing.
• Easily Manage Jobs and Resources with Overtypable Fields to modify CLASS, Status, Form, DEST, WTR name, FCB, UCS, copy count, and many others.
• Sort Jobs by Any Criteria, including CLASS, PRIORITY, WRITER NAME, and column headings, providing complete flexibility in viewing spooled output.
• Control Print and Print Devices, including requeue, forward space and backward space of print jobs.
• Display 132 Character Columns, and scroll Left/Right to easily see the specific information you need.

OMC-FLASH provides complete security at both the system and user level to ensure that only authorized users can access and manage the JES spool and spooled output. A standard SAF interface externalizes security administration, allowing security to be fully defined within popular SAF-compatible security packages. In addition, all OMC-FLASH panels and commands can be secured at the user level to ensure full compliance to installation security policies.

OMC-FLASH is easily installed and maintained through standard SMP/E installation and maintenance procedures. OMC-FLASH is completely JES independent and requires no modifications to either the host operating system or to ISPF.
