Support Engineer I

Type: Full-time, Immediate Opening
Opportunity
Summary:
As a Product Support Engineer I of a software development company, you will serve
as a primary support liaison between the company
and our customers. You will have the opportunity
to work with senior engineers and Development to
diagnose Tone's software product problems and deliver
solutions to customers. You will also perform Quality
Assurance testing for software product releases
and enhancements. This position is located at our
Anaheim, CA office.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide
support to customers for Tone’s entire suite
of software products via telephone, email, and
the Web.
- Communicate effectively with customers to
gather accurate problem descriptions, collect
documentation
required for problem diagnosis, and deliver solutions
and fixes.
- Involve in any additional follow up, troubleshooting,
and testing
- Document customer issues and resolutions
accurately and thoroughly
- Assist in the design of customer service
process using a CRM system
- Gather requirements for product enhancement
ideas and document product specifications
- Develop instructional documents on
new and existing product functionalities
- Plan and conduct product trainings
to customers and internal staff
- Plan, organize, and manage resources
for customer and internal projects.
- Participate in the QA process
of new software product releases
and
enhancements by validating,
documenting and reporting bugs
- Perform additional tasks and
projects as directed by supervising
manager
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment to
deliver the best solutions to our customers
- Customer service experience
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with software development
life cycle
- Java, C++, Assembly or other programming
experience
- UNIX or Linux system administration
coursework or working experience
- Familiarity with Mainframe (TSO/ISPF,
z/OS) platforms is a plus
- Experience using and supporting
a CRM or problem tracking system
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science or Computer Information
Systems is required
- Recent graduates are
